Comparisons

We start with what the competitor does better. Otherwise it is not a comparison.

Two rules in every comparison

First, we write out where the other operator is genuinely stronger, because a comparison that finds no strength at all in the competitor is advertising rather than analysis. Second, we quote no figure about an operator we have not verified. Where we do not know, we write that we do not know.

Who is licensed, and who is the same company

Since 1 July 2026 the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland publishes a register of licensed betting operators. We read it before writing any of these pages, for two reasons. It tells you which company actually holds the licence behind a brand name. And it shows which brands are really one business: Paddy Power and Betfair, William Hill and 888, BetVictor and talkSPORT BET, Unibet and 32Red all appear under shared ownership or a shared licence. Moving between them changes the logo, not the operator. The newer pages — bet365, William Hill, 888casino, Betway, BetVictor and Unibet — quote the register entry, licence number and issue date for each.

The pattern you will notice

Almost every major Irish-facing name is a bookmaker with a casino attached rather than a casino-first operator. That is not us being repetitive — it is the actual shape of this market, and it explains why casino players here end up shopping outside the familiar brands.

We have not deposited or withdrawn at any of the brands above, only at the five sites we cover. That limits what we can honestly claim, and saying so is more useful than pretending otherwise.

Using a comparison properly

Read the section on what the other operator does better first. If that is the thing you value most — racing depth, a shop estate, an exchange, a polished betting app — the sensible move is often to keep that account and add a casino rather than replace it. Plenty of people end up running two accounts that way, and it works well as long as each one has its own deposit limit and both are verified before they are needed.

Then read the section on what we could not check. Every comparison has one, and it is there because the most useful thing a comparison can do is separate what is known from what is assumed. A page that claims to know a competitor's payout times without ever having requested a payout is guessing, however confident it sounds.

If you would rather skip the comparing

Cas2Bet has the most games and 516 live tables, CasinoWinner the largest first-deposit match, CasinoPurple the shortest sign-up, ZeSlots paid out fastest, and YourWin24 a short form with sport on the same account. The full working is on best online casino Ireland.

The quickest way to put the five side by side on the thing most comparison pages lead with. Percentages and codes only; how each offer is played through is on the casino's own promotions page.
